Top 5 Tuesday- Books I’ve Read Because of Blogs/Youtube

Hey everyone! Time for one of my favorite book tags, Top Five Tuesday! Thank you so much Shanah from Bionic Book Worm for the fabulous meme!

This week’s topic is five books you’ve read beacause of blogs/Youtube.

I have to admit, I spend a lot of time on Youtube. Some of my favorite booktubers are Emmmabooks, Pages & Pens and ChelseaDollingReads.  All three of these booktubers are different, so I tend to have a super wide variety on my TBR. Some of my absolute favorite book bloggers are Destiny at Howling Libraries and Melanie at Meltotheany. You gals write some of my absolute favorite reviews. So well thought out and helpful!

First book: The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw
OMG this book was everywhere. Every haul I watch had it included and bloggers were going wild for it. I LOVED it, and you can see my review here.

Second book: The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton

The Belles was incredibly hyped up by Booktube, although I still think I would have bought it regardless. The atmosphere was one of my favorite things about it. You can read my review here.

Third book: Undead Girl Gang by Lily Anderson

Another one of my favorite reads of 2018 so far. Undead Girl Gang had all the witchy vibes I could ask for, not to mention a crazy gang of girls that will have you laughing hysterically. Definitely perfect if you want to read something quick and different! Read my review here.

Fourth book: A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas

This one was also alllllll over the Booktube/book blogger universe. Notably because it was the last SJM book for a little while and most of us Rhys fans were dying to hear from him again (swoon). This is probably one of the most controversial books of the year in terms of reviews. Or we all just aren’t clear what a novella is? Read my review here.

And last but not least, my fifth and favorite book of the year, Circe by Madeline Miller!

Okay okay, you probably get that these were all pretty hyped. Maybe not as much for Circe. But honestly, Circe is my #1 book this year so far. I am a SUCKER for anything including greek mythology, and this book absolutely killed it. If you’re a fan of mythology and character driven books, this is a MUST READ.  Book Review – Circe by Madeline Miller.
